I can diagram sentences, analyze Shakespeare, Woolf, Dickinson, and Thoreau. I can evaluate literary essays, research projects, and college admissions essays. I can lead/encourage a student to become a better writer, reader, thinker, and public speaker. These "talents" are not the most important components of me as an educator, though. I am a lifelong learner. I genuinely and earnestly become excited and animated about the learning process. I enjoy sharing my own passion and thirst for learning and knowledge with my students. I both encourage and challenge them to also become lifelong learners. It's a beautiful cycle to which we, as educators, are fortunate to contribute.
