I want to be a tutor because I enjoy helping people learn. I have been a teaching assistant for two different biology classes during college, and those were hands-down my favorite experiences during my undergraduate time. Also, I truly believe that teaching others helps me learn the material at a higher level. As a future doctor, it is very important to be able to teach people things. You want to be able to express yourself to other students and patients and talk to them in a vernacular that they can understand. You want to create analogies and tell stories that are helpful; only then will people actually internalize the information and actually be able to apply it to different problems and in the real world. I promise to give my full time and effort to each of my students, and I cant wait to embark on a new journey with all of them.
