About Me

I am an undergraduate and graduate degree holder who has a deep passion for teaching, encouraging, mentoring and motivating youth. I spent a few years working with children between the ages of 5 and 14 years old at local elementary and middle schools in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area. I learned how to deliver lessons and create activities that allowed me to gain experience in lesson planning, writing, and delivering. This experience highlighted the importance of using positive reinforcement as well as different teaching styles to engage all students, whether individually or collectively. I am a huge proponent of engaged learning. I believe that engaged learning helps the child to be able to grasp the concept of any subject. It allows the child to explore the subject, retain information, and shows the teacher their learning style. Each child is different and each child has their own learning style. I am able and willing to teach to each child in the manner in which they learn the best.
