I worked with them in their after school program through my service organization. Later on while still in college I began to mentor high school students through the Upward Bound program which helps students in their goal to be accepted in to college. I would meet with my assigned high school students once a month in order to answer any questions they might have and to continue their individual progression during their junior and senior years of high school as well as assist in their application process for college. Finally, after achieving an A in Micro Economic Theory I was asked to tutor fellow college students in Economics by my professor, which I agreed to do during my Senior year in college. I have plenty of experience helping students from elementary school right through to college students. While in college I also coached a middle school recreational basketball team in local Christiansburg, VA. It was a great experience and I was able to teach the student athletes a great deal about the game of basketball. I also stepped up to help coach The Woodland Park travel middle school team in 2013 - 2014 when my town was in need of assistant coaches. I have learned a great deal through these experiences including how to motivate and get the best out of student athletes on the court. I like to golf, play tennis, hike, and be outdoors in my spare time. I am currently working full time at North Jersey Media Group and will be starting my second degree in Accounting this fall at Ramapo College.
