About Me

I am currently pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering at Florida International University. During my undergraduate career, I was offered a research position from a professor due to doing extremely well in his class. I accepted this position and quickly became very interested in composite materials. I began to not only do research on the subject of composite materials but also began to write papers and present at conferences. Ultimately, I would like to obtain my PhD in mechanical engineering and pursue a career in academia.

My teaching philosophy is to develop strong critical thinking skills. These skills have helped me in excelling in my mechanical engineering coursework and can be applied to almost any subject. I first focus on ensuring that the principle of the topic is understood and why it is important. Then I use example problems that start out simple and slowly work up to more complex questions. This allows for confidence in understanding the basic concepts which will help when facing more difficult problems.
