With a degree in English Education, I have spent over 15 years in the teaching profession. I have explored learning from several perspectives including classroom teaching, individualized tutoring, and parenting. My passion for English language and literature is evident to every student who meets with me. I have great approaches for tackling the intricacies of grammar, composition, and criticalreading that will benefit a lifetime of reading and writing. Having closely examined the challenges of the SAT and ACT, I am excited to share strategies that will certainly lead to more confident test takers. Most importantly, I believe the tutoring experience should provide students with relevant skills that will make all future education more successful. Learning is a skill all its own and there are so many ways to master it. As a teacher, it is my goal to help students discover the methods and techniques that best lead to their understanding, not for just one assignment, but moving forward as a perpetual learner.
