About Me

I recently obtained my Ph.D. in Chemistry this year. My experience is in Organic Chemistry, but I'm well versed in areas of General Chemistry, as well as Algebra and Geometry. My tutoring philosophy is mostly about proper communication. Most Math and Science classes are normally taught by teaching professionals who are well qualified to lecture in their areas of expertise. However, if the material is not explained in a way that is understandable to the student, then it may be necessary to recruit the help of a tutor. I like to use different examples and analogies to help explain difficult concepts, I have successfully tutored students for more than 5 years. I'm quite flexible with my schedule, and it includes the weekends as well.

My teaching philosophy centers on communication. Students tend to seek tutors that can present the material in a way that offers a clearer understanding. I believe that pinpointing key deficiencies in a student’s knowledge, and then conveying the difficult material in an alternative way is critical for success. Each student has his or her own individual needs and strengths. Therefore, the strategy for teaching the science must be specific to the individual student.
