About Me

I have good communication skills and patience when working with others. I have a strong background in the sciences and the ability and passion to work with others so they may gain a greater understanding of the subjects. I am most knowledgeable about biology, though I am also proficient in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics. Throughout my life, I worked in mentoring positions including as a counselor at a scout camp teaching merit badges and as a lifeguard at a special needs camp where I helped others learn to swim. Beyond my academic work, I volunteered as an EMT, worked in a laboratory, volunteered in a hospital collecting data for research and also conducted my own research on the effects of mouthwash on the microbial ecology of the mouth. These experiences provided me with a greater appreciation and understanding to the importance of the sciences.
