About Me

I am fluent in Spanish, having studied and spoken the language since 2000, and having lived in Mexico City for two years, completing my master's degree in a program conducted entirely in Spanish. My favorite subject to tutor is mathematics; I love helping students arrive at a solution in the way that's best for them. I would describe my teaching and tutoring philosophy as one that constantly engages the students to be aware of their problem-solving process. I try to improve the way that students tackle problems, so rather than diving in immediately after reading a problem, their first though is, "What do I need to do here?". Outside of the teaching and tutoring world, I work in financial technology. My hobbies include golf, Zumba, and taking walking tours around New York City. Hobbies: travel, reading, music, writing, art, books, traveling
