I'm currently majoring in bioengineering/pre-med at Rice University. I graduated as the valedictorian of my high school class. My interests include biology, math, and violin performance. I've done neuroscience research at the Jungers Center for Neuroscience Reseach and the Oregon National Primate Research Center. I've also done molecular biology research at the Oregon Stem Cell Center.

I am a TEFL certified English language teacher, with multiple years of experience teaching English overseas, having lived in both Thailand and Laos, and worked with students of all ages and skill levels. My lessons have ranged from language activation and phonics in kindergarten, to grammar instruction with teens, to conversational business English with adults.
I am a graduate of Luther College, a liberal arts school in Decorah, IA. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Religion, with a minor in Social Welfare. Throughout college, I tutored many students in high school and college level math. I loved the process of helping people through math problems, so after graduating I served in the MN Math Corps as a Math Enrichment Tutor, where I learned research based teaching methods to tutor middle school students who were below proficiency in math. Currently, I am certified to tutor a broad range of math subjects ranging from elementary math to pre-calculus, as well as ACT Math and GRE Math/Verbal test prep. Through my experience, I've found that the best method of tutoring is to tailor it to each student's learning style (every concept can be taught/understood in multiple ways), and make sure the student actually understands what he/she is doing versus just learning equations and methods to complete assignments. I am very passionate about tutoring math as I love empowering people, and I believe mathematics is a vital subject to learn and understand. In addition to tutoring, I have worked as a data analyst for a market research firm near Chicago. In my free time, I enjoy keeping up on current events, reading (I love Harry Potter and Hunger Games!), Ultimate Frisbee, playing guitar and piano, and learning economics.
Three engineering degrees — including one in applied mathematics — mean Rahi is fluent in the quantitative side of economics that often catches students off guard: optimization problems, marginal analysis, and the calculus lurking behind supply and demand curves. He also tutors macroeconomics and accounting, so he can connect microeconomic theory to the bigger fiscal picture and the financial statements where these forces show up in practice.
Studying economics at Dartmouth with a computational emphasis, Eric digs into both the theoretical models and the real-world data that test them. He's particularly effective at unpacking concepts like elasticity, comparative advantage, and market equilibrium — translating the math into plain-language reasoning that sticks.
As an economics major at Dartmouth, Mia engages with concepts like market equilibrium, elasticity, and game theory on a daily basis. She unpacks the intuition behind graphs and models so that supply-and-demand curves and GDP calculations actually make sense instead of feeling like abstract formulas to memorize.
Supply and demand diagrams are just the entry point — JF digs into the reasoning behind elasticity, comparative advantage, and market equilibrium so that students can tackle unfamiliar problems without relying on memorized setups. His dual math and computer science training at Stanford gives him a quantitative edge when explaining concepts like marginal analysis and cost curves.
Matt's finance degree means he learned economics not as an isolated academic subject but as the engine behind investment decisions, corporate strategy, and market behavior — so when he teaches concepts like elasticity or market structures, he can show students where the theory actually lands. His SAT score of 1530 also signals the kind of sharp analytical reading that economics coursework demands, especially when students need to interpret dense graphs or parse tricky problem setups.
Supply and demand curves are just the starting point — Dawn digs into the mechanics of market equilibrium, elasticity, monetary policy, and game theory that make economics click at the college level. Her B.S. in Economics with a finance concentration from Duke means she can connect textbook models to how markets actually behave.
As an economics major at Duke, Eric tackles everything from supply-and-demand fundamentals to more advanced topics like game theory, market structures, and macroeconomic policy. He connects abstract models to real-world examples that make concepts like elasticity or comparative advantage intuitive rather than formulaic. Rated 5.0 by students.
Dylan's undergraduate degree in Policy Analysis and Management required working through the economic frameworks that underpin real policy decisions — microeconomic reasoning about incentives, cost-benefit trade-offs, and how markets respond to regulation. His additional coursework in econometrics and AP Microeconomics means he can move fluidly between the intuitive side of economics and the quantitative tools students need to actually model outcomes.
Studying finance at UGA means Vignesh works with economic concepts as living inputs — interest rates, market structures, consumer behavior — not just textbook diagrams, since his coursework requires applying micro and macro reasoning to actual corporate and investment decisions. He also teaches AP Micro and AP Macro, so he knows exactly where introductory students get tripped up on topics like elasticity, market failures, and the mechanics of fiscal versus monetary policy. Rated 5.0 by his students.
I am graduated from Penn State University in Industrial Engineering in 2017. I've tutored ever since I was in high school, and I love helping people! I like to help my students understand math (and other topics) instead of just doing it blindly. My goal is to help my students improve their math (and other topics) and build skills that will help them find learning easier in the future! Fun fact, I used to work for Disney and I like to salsa dance!
An MBA in Finance and Management gives Hari the kind of fluency with economic reasoning that comes from applying it — building financial models, analyzing market conditions, weighing strategic trade-offs in real business contexts. He teaches micro and macro concepts like elasticity, monetary policy, and market structures by connecting them to the finance and accounting decisions where those ideas actually matter. Rated 5.0 by his students.
Felix is pursuing economics or applied mathematics at the University of Chicago, one of the discipline's most rigorous programs. He breaks down concepts like elasticity, market equilibrium, and comparative advantage by connecting the graphs to real decision-making — so the math and the intuition develop together. His 5.0 client rating speaks to how clearly he communicates material that often feels abstract.
