With high-stakes testing, high standards of expectations, and sometimes large class sizes, it's no wonder some students find themselves missing bits and pieces of information that they need to do their best.

I love seeing students begin to understand a new subject or skill. Nothing is more encouraging and motivating to me than seeing students and myself learn together, dive into problems, and find ways to solve them.

I am a recent graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago. While there, I majored in Economics and minored in International Studies with a focus in International Political Economy and Development. Beyond these classes, I also had a healthy, eclectic interest in a wide range of subject areas including Multivariable Calculus, Physics, and Film. My favorite part of teaching is getting to know students and creating course materials that engage students to make learning fun and accessible. I mainly tutor math and Chinese. I graduated from Yale University in 2011 and upon graduation, joined Teach for America, a non-profit organization whose mission is is to help close the current opportunity gap that exists in classrooms across the U.S. I taught 1st 2nd and 3rd grade for three years and while teaching, earned a Master's Degree in Education. In addition to being a classroom certified teacher, I have also tutored older students in SAT test preparation, as well as classroom content such as calculus and physics.
