It's designed to measure what you've learned in undergrad and reflect your potential for continued academic success. Scores on the GRE can make the difference in admissions decisions, so you need to take it seriously. Varsity Tutors can help you find Duluth, GA, tutors to try to help you hone your skills and achieve an impressive performance on the GRE.

The GRE focuses on three main areas of knowledge considered essential for performing well in advanced academic work. Your verbal and quantitative skills are measured with multiple choice questions, and your analytical writing ability is evaluated through two timed essay assignments. You'll spend almost four hours of actual testing time completing all the tasks the GRE requires. If you're not prepared to answer questions from across the educational spectrum, your score can suffer. Varsity Tutors can assist you in finding a GRE tutor near Duluth that could make sure that doesn't happen.

GRE Tutoring review by Robert in Duluth, GA
Today was mostly about geometry (after a little permutations practice - it's good to keep fresh on that skill since they tend to be among the more challenging problems), with specific attention paid to the Pythagorean Theorem, Area/Circumference of Circles, Area of Triangles, Similar Triangles, and working some of the more challenging geometry logic questions. In all, we covered quite a bit of ground.

GRE Tutoring review by Toni in Duluth, GA
Today, we covered basic information about the test, including its basic structure, what to expect on test day, and some general strategies for the multiple choice section. We then began working on the vocabulary-based questions of the verbal reasoning section and testing strategies associated with that section. We practiced some of the fill-in-the-blank and sentence equivalent questions. She has a pretty strong start on this with a good vocabulary and some good guesswork. I asked her to work on at least one question per day to practice consistently and keep in the mindset of the test.

GRE Tutoring review by Mahlena-Rae in Duluth, GA
We started by reviewing the questions on the test. I encouraged her to use the words she knows and the contexts of the sentences to help her find the correct answers, even if the best answers include words she is unfamiliar with. I also suggested she continue practicing her vocabulary sentences out loud with other people who can listen to them and respond.

GRE Tutoring review by Steven in Duluth, GA
The student and I met for a session of GRE tutoring. She informed me that she is scheduled to take the test on October 23rd and we planned out our final sessions accordingly. We mainly focused on applying concepts to math questions. I had her do questions broken down by general concepts so she could get a understanding of how to solve each type of question that may be presented on the test. We also practiced hard verbal questions, which she did very well on.

GRE Tutoring review by Ryan in Duluth, GA
The student and I met for our first session. I began by asking her questions about her studies so far and what she would like to accomplish. We began by going over quantitative reasoning questions. She knows most of the math concepts she needs to answer these questions. At times she just needed help completing the steps necessary to arrive at the solution. I illustrated these steps on the questions she was struggling with the most. She understood much better after we went through them together. We ended by going over some verbal reasoning questions. I explained the basic strategy for each question type and she generally performed well on these questions.
