Certified Tutor

I am a dedicated educator with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Chicago and more than six years of tutoring experience. I have worked with students from ages four to eighteen, supporting them in a wide range of subjects and tailoring lessons to their individual needs. My greatest strength is working with younger learners, especially those between ages four and twelve, where I focus on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and critical thinking. As a native Spanish speaker, I also enjoy helping students develop their bilingual skills with an emphasis on grammar, comprehension, and conversation.

Beyond academic tutoring, I have guided high school students through the college admissions process by reviewing essays, providing application feedback, and mentoring them as they pursued competitive universities. Many of the students I have supported have gone on to earn admission to schools such as the University of Notre Dame, Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, Rice University, Emory University, and Columbia University. Helping students discover their strengths and present their best selves throughout the admissions process has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

I am currently pursuing a Master's in Higher Education Leadership and Policy at Boston College, which reflects my long-term commitment to creating equitable and student-centered learning environments. I see every tutoring session as an opportunity not only to improve academic performance but also to build confidence, curiosity, and a lasting love for learning.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy watching basketball and am a loyal Mavericks fan, even if they traded Luka. I also follow Formula 1 and look forward to the energy of race weekends. In my free time, I like being outdoors, whether it is golfing, walking by the lake, or fishing. I’ve always been really into wildlife, especially marine life. Orcas are my favorite animal, but I also love otters and sharks. I enjoy baking, trying new recipes, and spending time with friends whether we’re going out or just hanging out and catching up.
