I am a senior at Colorado College on the pre med track working towards my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (with a focus on molecular biology) and Environmental Science (minor). Post graduation, I am working as a health educator in Belize for the Peace Corps. In the meantime, I work extensively with college students at the Colorado College Ruth Barton Writing Center as a writing tutor. I myself have experience working through difficult academic courses with tutors, thus I am highly exposed to a wide array of tutoring practices used in STEM courses. Furthermore, I worked as a teacher's assistant in Hebrew and Judaic Studies for six years with elementary school students, so I am very comfortable working with younger students! I am most passionate about teaching foundational math in algebra, geometry, and calculus especially for the SAT and ACT. Additionally, I am excited to tutor in biology and help build confidence in student's writing abilities. As a student with dyslexia and ADHD, I have worked with tutors to adapt to and overcome challenges created by my own learning differences. I am inspired to help students with struggles like my own gain confidence in their abilities and succeed academically. I value instilling confidence in students and do this through maintaining a positive attitude and experimenting with different fun and engaging styles of learning. In my spare time, I work in an electrochemistry lab/maker space, rock climb competitively, and enjoy cooking (especially Italian food).
