Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, with Minors in German and Linguistics. I'm currently applying to mathematics graduate programs with an eye toward theoretical math research. I tutor a variety of Math subjects, as well as Science, beginner German, and general Standardized Test preparation. My favorite subject to tutor is, naturally, Mathematics in all its forms, especially Algebra and Geometry. I'm very passionate about math education, both positively and negatively. I believe it's crucial for every person to have a basic understanding of mathematics; at the same time, I feel the American education system is not always equipped to meet students' needs and foster the mathematical thinking process. As a tutor, I help students figure out what information they are missing, so they can build a firm foundation of understanding upon which to build moving forward.
