I graduated from The City College of the City University of New York with a degree in Biotechnology, and Chemistry Research Honors. Since graduation, I have been working as a research fellow in an HIV lab at the National Institutes of Health. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I served as an SAT volunteer tutor for students from low-income communities. I especially liked how the help I offered to these motivated students propelled them to higher scores and great colleges. I have also served as an Introductory and advanced Chemistry and Math tutor for college students for many years. As a first-generation college graduate, I believe it is my calling to go to every length to make students succeed. My favorite activities outside academics is watching and playing soccer (football) and basketball.
