I study Regional and Comparative Studies at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. I have a passion for languages, as a student as well as a tutor. I am a native Spanish speaker and have recent personal experience with the Spanish AP exams, having completed AP Spanish Language and AP Spanish Literature within the last three years. While I tutor in English, Spanish, and French, I am especially passionate about French, as it has consistently been my own favorite area of study over the past twelve years. I have studied French at the AP and Honors levels in high school and have continued to study French literature and culture at the university level. I have received proficiency qualifications in Spanish and French from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. Additionally, I have tutored domestically and abroad. In Colombia, I tutored under-resourced children who were training to become professional dancers at the non-profit organization Fundacion FestivalArt; my primary focus there was to equip students with the skills to communicate successfully as they pursued professional opportunities abroad. As a tutor with Reading Partners and later the DC Schools Project, I have worked with a wide range of students, from children at the elementary school level to adults. I am especially passionate about serving the immigrant community in Washington D.C. and using language as a way of strengthening our community and working towards inclusion. I am confident that by working together on personalized lesson plans designed to address students' individual goals, students will feel empowered and confident in their abilities to express themselves. I am excited to share my love of languages with others and make the process of language-learning as enjoyable as possible.
