Certified Tutor

I LOVE to learn. But what I love even more is to help other people learn, and come to understand the world just a little bit better. Ever since I was a little kid, I used to share everything I learned with anyone who would listen. I drew immense satisfaction from watching someone light up as some difficult concept clicks in their brain. In fact, I spent nearly as much of my early-childhood and secondary education helping others with their homework as I did with mine! Naturally, that developed into several more formal tutoring careers, teaching both younger students as well as my peers at the university. Right now I study Microbiology at BYU in Utah, but I hope to move onto graduate school to study educational policy design. From there I hope to make a difference in how schools are run around the world, to provide the best possible learning environment for students. I believe that students work best when they are excited about the subject, and much of my teaching style involves transmitting energy on a certain subject to help the student become self-reliant problem-solvers. Beyond teaching, I love reading fantasy books, salsa dancing, practicing the piano, or playing soccer with the boys. I look forward to working with you!
