As an educator, I deeply believe that everyone has the ability to learn and achieve at the highest level. In order to help each student reach their fullest potential, it is important for a tutor to investigate how that person learns best. This involves listening to the student and recognizing that each student moves at his or her own pace. As a first grade teacher, I achieved strong results with my students by setting ambitious but attainable goals. These goals were based on where each student started and the skills they would need to be successful in the next grade level. While pursuing these goals, I worked to ensure that each of my students was invested in his or her personal academic goals. As a tutor, I will work with you or your student to set clear academic goals and benchmarks. I also believe that learning can and should be fun! Also as a tutor, I will incorporate the things you or your student is passionate about into our sessions!
