I have 12 years of teaching experience at the college level at universities such as The Ohio State University, University of Texas at Austin, University of Maryland, and Georgetown University. I received my BA and MA in English Literature and my PhD in Film Studies. I have also worked as a Grader for the AP English Composition test for 7 years.

I am here to aid you in any stage of the writing process--from brainstorming ideas to editing a final paper. I specialize in finding a way to get the brilliant ideas in your head onto the page to make a coherent and complete argument. I also understand writerly paralysis, and we can work on strategies for creating a action plan for your writing. Come to me with your large writing projects, but also something simple such as a response paper or journal--with a few tools, we can make writing a stress-free process of personal expression. I am also available for personal essay writing, resume writing, screenwriting/creative writing, and application writing.

I am a huge movie buff--in fact I regularly teach film and television classes at the university level, so I'm always excited to talk about your favorite movies with you. I wrote my dissertation on horror movies, and I teach a class every semester on the AMC show "Breaking Bad."
