Certified Tutor

I earned my Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages and Linguistics in Colombia. There, I also completed my studies in University Management. I came to the United States of America in 1999 and completed my MA in Instructional Design from Nova University. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in Conflict Resolution from the same university.

I have been an English, French and Spanish Teacher since 1991 in Colombia. I have taught for several universities overseas and in the United States of America. I have worked as a College and University Advisor for higher education institutions in Colombia and in the United States of America. I have worked as a Coordinator for Federal and State Grants from the Department of Education. These experiences, at all levels of the educational system, have permitted me to have a wide scope of instructional and administrative tools.

My favorite subjects are Social Sciences such as History, Philosophy and Politics. I also enjoy essay writing, Public Speaking and Debate.


I believe that every student has the power to make a difference in society and to reach his or her maximum potential. It is my job as the Educator to motivate and guide students through the education process in order to facilitate their success.

Every student can learn at his or her pace. A student-centered approach is conducive to authentic learning, where students are in charge of what they learn and how they process the information.


Personally, I have multiple interests. I have two black belts in Martial Arts. I spend my free time camping and exploring minimalistic techniques of survival. I am an avid reader and I like going to the movies.
