Certified Tutor

I graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics, and earned a minor in Classical Civilization. Afterwards, I worked in Los Angeles as a Health Educator at community health centers. Currently, I live in New Orleans while pursuing a certificate program at Tulane University. I have worked with Varsity Tutors for over 2 years, in both the in-person and online platforms. It has been a great experience thus far, as the students have been very receptive and eager to learn. My subjects include Math (up to AP Calculus AB), Chemistry (up to Introductory Biochemistry), Biology (up to college-level Introductory Biology), Microbiology, and Genetics. As a tutor, I aim to get the students to understand the concepts behind the subjects and how their learning relates to their lives and the world. This allows them to not just successfully complete their assignments, but also to improve their learning and problem-solving skills so their success will continue in their futures.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring the city in which I live, discovering the local culture and eating different types of cuisine. I am also a huge football fan, supporting the UCLA Bruins and the San Diego Chargers.
