Oxford Romanian Tutoring FAQ
Romanian can be a challenging language in which to become fluent for a variety of reasons. While it is a Romance language, and thus shares some similar features with other Romance languages like Spanish and French, it also varies from them in unique ways. For example, definite articles attach to the ends of words and the alphabet, while based on the Latin one, includes five more letters. In addition to this, there is the overall complexity of the language to consider. Romanian uses seven vowels, ten conjugation patterns, and nine verbal moods that anyone wishing to become fluent will need to master. In addition to the linguistically difficult aspects of Romanian, students may also be challenged to find instruction in Romanian that works well with their particular learning style, pace, and goals.
For many students, formal classes may not proceed at the same pace at which they learn, and they may feel rushed trying to review material that they find confusing. In addition, textbooks can't provide personalized guidance, websites may be unreliable, and neither of these resources can offer the opportunity to work with a fluent speaker of Romanian to develop conversational skills. If you are trying to learn Romanian efficiently and effectively, look no further than one-on-one Romanian tutoring. Varsity Tutors helps students connect with private Romanian tutoring that sets itself apart due to the degree to which each session is customized to meet every student's specific needs. Romanian instructors are, of course, fluent in the language, but they are also knowledgeable in the language's most complex aspects. They are superb teachers who can help make these complex features become intuitive to people learning the language. Our educational directors can help you select the tutor who can best help you, and your tutor can then create a unique curriculum for your sessions that addresses those aspects of Romanian with which you struggle.
When you choose to work with a qualified Romanian tutor, you will be learning under the guidance of a native speaker or an individual who has achieved fluency in the language. Unlike studying in the traditional classroom setting, private lessons allow you to get the hands-on assistance needed to truly master the language. You will have an expert at your disposal who is able to perform vocabulary and pronunciation drills, help you improve your listening, and give you the necessary practice to improve your conversational Romanian.
You are in control of the direction and pace of every lesson. In classroom lectures, many students have a hard time keeping up with the pace of teachers who try to cram a bulky course outline into a semester. Private tutoring, however, gives you the power to choose how much time you want to spend on each component. There's no need to spend time reviewing features of the language or vocabulary that you've already mastered, as your tutoring can proceed at whatever pace you learn. Furthermore, if you are struggling with a specific area of the language, like grammar or syntax, you can have your tutor spend extra time reviewing these concepts.
If you are serious about improving your Romanian language proficiency, contact Varsity Tutors and ask how we can help you find an experienced tutor in your area. You have a lot of options to help make your learning experience comfortable and convenient. For example, you can choose between in-person tutoring sessions at a location suitable for you, or you can learn through face-to-face online tutoring sessions through the live learning platform. Whatever option you choose, you will receive the same, high-quality assistance from a dedicated Romanian tutor. Whether you are studying for an upcoming test or project, or you want to learn Romanian as a second language, your tutor can help you achieve your goals.

Recent Oxford Romanian Tutoring Session Notes
In this session, I gave the instruction to the 3 students separately. I reviewed the older materials with them first. I taught them the words on body parts and also the days of the week. Instead of just focusing on words, I introduced what little bear does on each of the day during the week, such as learning dancing and swimming. In this way, I believe they can learn new words and how sentences are constructed.
The student practiced the food vocabulary we learned last week. We role-played ordering food in a restaurant. She made a menu of her favorite food and beverage items. We learned phrases to use at a restaurant.
The student and I reviewed his action routine and added some new words such as "breakfast," "lunch," "dinner," and "practice." We played a counting game using playing cards with mahjong tile symbols, where I had him count out the number of circles and sticks on each card.
We practiced telling the time and articulating the date. We continued to use our Go Fish game to practice questions and go over difficult vocabulary. We went over her homework which was to compose a letter to her mother wishing her a happy birthday. We went over this work and corrected her mistakes. We went over relevant grammar related to this assignment.
This session was spent getting the student more familiar with working with me. We went through things in the room and started naming them (stuffed animals). We then played a game of "I Spy" before the session ended.
This lesson centered on nationality. We learned the words for several countries and how to ask about one's nationality. The student was very interested in this topic and wanted to know how to say the names of many more countries.
