During this session, we went over all the material once again. I spent a huge part of the session going over the formulas and various concepts. I told the student to review the material, write down his definitions, and redo the math questions. Overall, this session went well.

I designed a very broad conceptual review for the student and I to go through for this session. It was the day before her exam, so it was rather light. We talked about every subject that she had covered in class and did several hypothetical situations on the whiteboard. We also spent a fair amount of time on the position, velocity, and acceleration graphs.

I covered units of measurement, scalars, vectors, dot products, and cross products. I am preparing the student for physics, so everything is new so far. I showed her the way I prefer to solve cross products. I also used an old textbook to practice some math problems. She seems to be understanding the basics, which is a good place to start.

Today, we discussed chapter 7 on coordinate systems and the metric. For our next session, we will do some math review and rehash some of the material on coordinate transformations, etc., covered in the last two sessions.

The student and I studied for her PreCalc final exam. We went through problems from the online textbook PDF. Sometimes a small mistake is made here or there, but overall she can do problems from any module of the course. I think she is ready for the exam.

We covered impulse-momentum problems. The student was initially confused about the two different definitions of impulse (Ft=m*deltaV). But I think we cleared up the fact that you can calculate impulse either way. We then moved onto work-energy problems because this is what he struggled with on his last test. He is going to try to bring a copy of the last test to our next session. In his notes, he has a lot of abbreviated and manipulated equations, and we were working on the fact that all of those "different" equations were derived from the same thing. They all came from KE+PE+W=KEf+PEf.
