French Tutoring review by Katherine in Reading
We covered a lot of vocabulary in our session, as the student is learning some new adverbs and adjectives, as well as a few new verbs. The adjectives and adverbs were mostly time and frequency related such as souvent, constamment, and couramment. We went over the vocabulary as she put them into vocab app. She got an A- on her project on Haiti, and she just had a quiz on Monday that she has not gotten back yet.

First, the student and I reviewed her homework. She was working on definite and indefinite articles. Then, we studied for her upcoming quiz (on Friday) on adjectives. I prepared an interactive study guide, as well as several worksheets. I taught her the study skill of marking or highlighting what she struggled with and ignoring what she already knew. This way, when she goes back to study, she focuses on those words or ideas that she doesn't entirely know rather than reviewing everything. We also practiced pronunciation. I asked her how she felt about her upcoming quiz. She said she thinks she will do very well. I left her with the study guide and the worksheets.

French Tutoring review by Aurelie in Reading
I asked the student if her dialogue from last week went well. Her teacher seemed to be happy with it. We started with a review of her homework on prepositions with the infinite and reflexive verbs. She is a quick learner and understood the rules fast. Then, we worked on her pronunciation of the different sounds she has difficulty with like "r" and words ending with "er" and "e." I introduced her to a song titled "Est ce que tu m'aimes?" that I chose due to pronunciation trouble she showed at last week's session. I believe it will help her with her fluidity and confidence with pronunciation. She will work on it for next week. Finally, we worked on comprehension of the same song and some conversation skills.

French Tutoring review by Amal in Reading
The student worked on her French class homework, talking about sports and hobbies, using interrogative markers, inversions, plurals, and negatives. She is receptive and a fast learner. We are meeting tomorrow for a conversational session. I also specified the strategy she should use to be able to differentiate between singular and plural forms.

French Tutoring review by Kerry in Reading
The student truly brought his A-game tonight. He worked hard and did well on the rest of the lesson on indirect statement. He blew the material out of the water. He demonstrated a strong command of vocabulary, too, a valuable asset.

French Tutoring review by Sofia in Reading
We had today's Spanish session be a joint one as I think both students learn more when they play games together. We reviewed the body parts and combined this with a lesson on the conjugation of the verb tener and started forming conversational sentences. We applied our question beginnings to this, though that is something they are have struggled with, but they are showing improvement each lesson.
