Meet the Instructor

Instructor Picture
Jordan R.

I am a current rising sophomore at Sacred Heart University and studying to become a Speech-language pathologist. During my time in high school and college, I have worked as a peer teacher and with elementary students at my local church.

I enjoy volunteering am involved in Special Olympics, Crusade for a Cure, and the Make a Wish Foundation. While I teach multiple subjects I am most passionate about areas related to reading and writing. I believe that it is important for students to enjoy learning to be successful. In my sessions, I try to engage students by incorporating their interests and hobbies into the educational experience.

Since I am a current student myself I understand the challenges that can occur when learning and know the feeling of struggling in a subject. I have received teaching sessions myself and recognize the importance of an extra boost of support. I am excited to share my passion for learning and knowledge of these subjects. I am confident in my ability to give my students the tools they need to succeed.
