Chess Strategies from "The Queen's Gambit"

Adult

In the Netflix sensation, "The Queen's Gambit," the chess prodigy Beth Harmon uses real-life chess strategies such as the Scholar's Mate, Sicilian Defense and the Marshall Attack during her rapid ascent in the chess world. This class, which consists of four 90-minute sessions over two weeks, will teach you those techniques and a variety of other strategies - opening moves, mid-game plans, end-game schemes, and much more - to help you beef up your chess game! You do not need to be a grandmaster to enjoy this class, but a basic understanding of chess rules will make this class much more enjoyable for all learners.
