As a passionate tutor with a Master's degree in Communications from Northwestern University, I specialize in teaching Conversational Mandarin and Mandarin Chinese 1 and 2. With over 2 years of tutoring experience, I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a genuine connection with my students, using interactive methods to make learning engaging and enjoyable. I believe that understanding a language goes beyond vocabulary; it's about embracing culture and communication. My goal is to help each student achieve their language aspirations while instilling confidence in their abilities. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring diverse cultures and languages, which enriches my teaching approach.
