Certified Tutor

As a passionate educator, I have over 15 years of tutoring experience, specializing in English, Reading, and English for Speakers of Other Languages. My teaching philosophy centers around fostering a supportive and engaging environment where students feel empowered to express themselves and develop critical thinking skills. I strive to connect with each student on a personal level, tailoring my approach to their unique needs and learning styles. Currently, I am a certified secondary teacher in Florida, and my dedication to helping students succeed has been recognized through various accolades in my school community. I currently teach 9-12 grade English and Reading classes, including a test prep class for ACT, SAT, CLT, and FAST. I have past experience teaching ELL adults English privately. I am the ESOL Specialist at my school. I have experience teaching English with speakers of various languages such as Spanish, French, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Russian. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy writing poetry and exploring different literary genres, which continuously inspires my teaching and enriches my students' learning experiences.
