I have a degree in Journalism and have been in Corporate Communications for more than 30 years. I have nearly 15 years of experience helping my kids succeed in middle school and high school English, Journalism, and Creative Writing. I strive to connect with my students by tailoring my approach to their individual learning styles. I'm passionate about making learning engaging and fun, by using a student's strengths and building upon those in my approach. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and develop their skills. In my lessons, you can expect personalized attention, clear explanations and examples, and positive reinforcement. I look forward to working together to build your confidence and to turn in essays, blogs, and articles that are interestiing, organized and show their personality. I love seeing their growth and confidence in their abilities and that is what motivates me.
