As a passionate tutor with a Bachelor's degree in History and Philosophy from the University of Chicago, I have over 2 years of experience teaching a diverse range of subjects, including AP English Language and Composition and high school American History. My tutoring journey began at age 11, where I developed my skills by supporting students with various academic needs. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment tailored to each student's unique learning style, often employing a mix of direct communication and experimental methods to foster understanding. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to help students enhance their writing skills, as evidenced by my experience in SAT prep and college application essays. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring literature and music, which enriches my teaching approach and allows me to connect with students on multiple levels.
