As an enthusiastic educator with over 20 years of experience, I am deeply dedicated to fostering a love for learning in my students. My approach centers on meeting students where they are, both academically and emotionally, to build trust and confidence. I specialize in Elementary School English, Math, Reading, and particularly phonics, which I believe is foundational for reading fluency and comprehension. My teaching philosophy emphasizes personalized instruction and the integration of engaging methods to ensure students not only grasp the material but also feel empowered in their learning journey. I have had the privilege of working with students in diverse settings, from one-on-one tutoring to small group instruction, and I have received the President's Volunteer Service Award for my commitment to mentorship. Earning a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Tennessee State University, I remain passionate about continuous growth as an educator and strive to create transformative learning experiences for each of my students.
