As a recent graduate from Kenyon College with a Bachelor's degree in German and History, I am passionate about fostering a love for language and history in my students. With over 1 year of experience as a German teaching assistant, I have successfully guided college students from their first German phrases to more complex discussions on topics like climate change. My teaching philosophy centers on active engagement and tailored lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles. I believe that by connecting with students through shared experiences, I can inspire them to pursue their academic goals with confidence. Additionally, my history background equips me to support students in developing strong analytical and writing skills.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring cultural literature and engaging in travel, which further enriches my teaching approach. I am a runner and weight lifter, and I recently developed a passion for bouldering (indoor rock climbing). I have two Australian Shepherds, named Daisy and Blaze, who love a good walk and playing fetch outside. I also love the George R. R. Martin, A Song of Ice and Fire book series, and could talk about it for hours with anyone who is willing to listen.
