As a passionate educator with a Master's in Education from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a Bachelor's in English from Morehouse, I bring over five years of experience in early childhood education, specializing in elementary English and math. My teaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships with students, creating a supportive learning environment where they feel safe to explore and ask questions. I focus on foundational skills in literacy and numeracy, ensuring students are well-prepared for future academic challenges. I have taught in diverse settings, including a multi-age Montessori classroom, which has enriched my understanding of various learning styles. I believe in chunking lessons to ease cognitive load, allowing students to master each concept before moving on. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and exploring educational resources to continuously enhance my teaching methods.
