Natalie: Gurnee tutor
Certified Tutor
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Arizona State University, having previously earned my Associate of Arts degree from Glendale Community College. After completing my undergraduate studies, I plan to further my education in graduate school. As a student, I've experienced moments of confusion and frustration, whether it was for a single question or an entire concept, so I understand how overwhelming and helpless it can feel. I'm passionate about providing the kind of support I needed in those moments: patient, encouraging, and tailored to the individual.
I tutor writing and editing, math, statistics, and public speaking for students ranging from middle school to early college. I find these subjects structured and rewarding, and I love seeing those "aha" moments when things finally click. In our sessions, we'll begin by identifying your goals, such as improving grammar, mastering algebra, or building confidence in public speaking. I enjoy developing outlines to serve as a guide or for future reference, and employing adaptable strategies to match your preferred learning style. My goal is to help you build both understanding and confidence as we work together toward your academic success!
I am part of a large family that I love spending time with, as well as exploring new foods and places with friends. I'm passionate about travel and try to visit somewhere new every year. When the weather cooperates, and it's not snake season, I enjoy hiking and going for walks. In my downtime, you'll often find me watching a show, listening to music, or finding a creative outlet, such as journaling or drawing.
