As a Computer Science student at the University of Victoria, I am deeply passionate about tutoring mathematics and computer science, particularly in subjects like Calculus I & II, Linear Algebra, and Python programming. My journey as a tutor began through collaborative study sessions with classmates and math tutors, which ignited my love for helping others understand complex concepts. I adopt a student-centered approach, emphasizing conceptual understanding over rote memorization. I strive to empower students by guiding them to independently tackle problems and fostering their critical thinking skills. My strong foundation in mathematics, evidenced by my high grades, allows me to break down intricate topics into manageable steps, ensuring that students grasp the reasoning behind each solution. Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active and exploring new experiences. I love doing volunteer work, and I'm currently working as a volunteer note-taker in my Calculus 3 class. I’m passionate about fitness, swimming, and boxing, which help me stay focused and energized in my studies. I also enjoy watching TV shows in my downtime as a way to relax and unwind. I love travelling, and one of my personal goals is to travel across Canada during my undergraduate years to experience the country’s diverse landscapes and cultures.
