Amad: New York tutor
Certified Tutor
As an educator with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Waterloo, I bring over four years of experience teaching and tutoring students in math, physics, and engineering. I'm passionate about helping students connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications, making learning both engaging and practical.
I believe the most effective learning happens in a supportive environment where students feel challenged yet confident. I adapt my lessons to each learner's style, using clear explanations and relatable examples. For instance, when teaching Newton's second law, I might reference pushing a shopping cart to demonstrate the relationship between force, mass, and acceleration.
My goal is not only to help students excel academically, but to inspire lasting confidence and curiosity in subjects that are foundational to their future success.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy working on engineering projects, especially those involving automation and AI. I'm passionate about exploring new technologies and applying them to real-world problems. I also enjoy reading about science, biking, and discovering new cultures through travel and food.
