I bring over 15 years of university-level teaching and research experience in political science and public policy, and I'm excited to support high school students preparing for AP U.S. Government and Comparative Government. I believe that when taught well, these courses sharpen students' critical thinking and help them see how government and history shape the world around them.
My teaching has included courses at Columbia University and the London School of Economics on U.S. government, comparative politics, civil rights, and global social policy. I've also authored academic articles and policy reports on pressing contemporary issues such as populism, democratic backsliding, and climate governance. This background helps me bring both historical depth and current relevance to my tutoring.
In addition to classroom teaching, I've spent several years serving as the Head Tutor for the London School of Economics online Public Policy Analysis course, where I've produced video lectures, guided online discussion forums, and graded student assignments. The course consistently receives student satisfaction ratings above 95%, in part because we make theoretical material accessible and relatable to students from diverse professional and national backgrounds. That same flexibility and engagement carries over into my one-on-one work with students.
I look forward to helping students strengthen both their knowledge of the AP curriculum and their ability to apply it to real-world and comparative scenarios. I'd be thrilled to support students in excelling academically and growing intellectually in these important subjects.
