Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Rutgers University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering with a Minor in Entrepreneurship. Currently working as a Salesforce Developer, I have maintained my passion for tutoring throughout my career, helping students increase their letter grades, standardized test scores, mastery of material, and most importantly, their love of learning over my 15+ years of experience.
What drives my passion for helping students is witnessing those breakthrough moments when a challenging concept finally clicks, and seeing their confidence transform as they realize they're capable of more than they initially believed. I specialize in STEM subjects for elementary through college-age students, including Biology, Chemistry, and various levels of Math. I particularly enjoy helping students see how these subjects connect to everyday life and future career possibilities.
My teaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships with each student to understand their unique learning style and goals. I believe in breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and making abstract ideas tangible through real-world connections. For example, I help chemistry students understand molecular interactions by relating them to how medications work in the body. When a student struggles, I adapt my approach - whether using visual diagrams, hands-on examples, or step-by-step problem breakdowns - until we find what works best for them.
My experience coaching middle and high school basketball and baseball has strengthened my ability to motivate students, maintain patience during challenging moments, and celebrate incremental progress. My goal is to empower each student not just to succeed academically, but to develop problem-solving skills, confidence, and a genuine appreciation for learning that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
