Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Eastern Oregon University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English/Writing. For the past several years, I have worked as a freelance tutor in my home community. I currently tutor non-native English speakers in my local community, preparing individuals for TOEFL and IELTS proficiency exams, with significant improvements. I also volunteer in my community with small creative writing groups, providing copy and developmental edits for new writers prior to publication. While I do tutor all aspects of English, writing is my expertise. I have worked with Young Scholars in Writing, a journal that publishes undergraduate academic essays, aiding with revisions prior to their most recent publication. I am a strong advocate for writing and always strive to convey its importance for life-long learning. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, and going to the movies with my wife.
