Meghan: Batavia tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a second-year Master's student at Fordham University getting my Master's in School Counseling. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education and History from Bucknell University and over five years of experience working in education. I have worked with Kindergarten to 12th-grade students in different formats, from interning with a high school history teacher to being a special education specialist in an elementary school. I am passionate about tailoring learning to meet student's specific needs and accommodations, helping everyone reach their most significant potential. My strongest areas are US History, ELA, Writing, and Reading, as I taught middle school English for a summer and have ample experience with lesson planning for these humanities subjects. Through my two years as a special education specialist, I helped students directly in the classroom through one-on-one and small group intervention in elementary school English, Math, and Social Studies. My knowledge of counseling techniques and coping skills allows me to tailor my teaching to help students struggling with their academics in a mindful way. Outside of my professional life, I love cooking, reading, going on walks, painting, and working out. My reading goal is to finish 40 books in 2025!
