I am passionate about education among young people, and I want to spark in them a love for learning that was sparked in me as a child. My goal is to foster understanding among my students and let them know they are safe and can reach out with any questions that they may have.
I obtained my Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Montevallo, and attended Auburn University where I majored in Environmental Science.
I completed my internship in my local State Park where I led education programs related to the park. At the University of Montevallo, I worked as an environmental educator teaching kindergarten to 7th grade students about biological and environmental concepts.
I currently work at a science center as a STEM educator in which I develop and teach lessons on STEM subjects with a tie in to real world experiences and examples.
