As a dedicated educator with a Doctorate in Piano Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I have over 20 years of experience teaching music theory, jazz studies, and piano at both the college and private levels. My passion for music education drives me to create engaging and tailored lessons that meet each student's unique learning style. I believe in fostering a supportive and interactive environment where students can thrive through hands-on activities and real-world applications of concepts. In addition to my extensive background in music, I have a solid foundation in mathematics, enabling me to effectively tutor middle and high school students. I am committed to ensuring that every student not only understands the material but also enjoys the learning process. Outside of teaching, I am an active jazz performer, which enriches my tutoring approach with practical insights from the field.
