Certified Tutor

My goal as a tutor has always been to use my knowledge and skills to help others reach their goals. I graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science in software engineering, but with a passion for mathematics that has never left me. I believe that math is a language with a wonderfully exciting internal logic, but that is obscured for many by a long unmotivated series of rules and mnemonics that students often feel they have to just take as a given. I believe these rules and mnemonics are valuable, but should be put in proper context to not only justify them, but to show that these rules were once wonderful discoveries in their own right that are worth learning for their own sake as well. I currently go back and forth between tutoring and adjunct instructing at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL, and I'm happy to share what I know with others. Outside of the classroom, I'm an avid music listener and enjoy exploring a variety of online games.
