Corey: East Chicago tutor
Certified Tutor
Hey! I'm Corey Predella, a third-year math student at Carnegie Mellon University and a passionate math educator who loves making math click.
I've taught at the AwesomeMath Summer Program (as both a TA and instructor), where I've had the amazing opportunity to help students crush big goals, like qualifying for the USA Mathematical Olympiad or earning perfect scores on the SAT/ACT math sections. Whether it's math competitions or classroom grades, I'm here to help students thrive.
I truly believe that with just a few key mindset shifts (often missing in school systems), anyone can grow into a confident problem solver. I gave a TEDx talk all about how small changes in how we approach math can unlock significant results.
I work with students ages 1218 at all skill levels, and my goal is always to meet you where you are, spark genuine curiosity, and guide you to think more independently and creatively in math and beyond.

I'm really into jazz music and playing jazz guitar. Outside of this, I'm a puzzle enthusiast, an avid reader (and occasional writer), and a runner. I also love playing racket sports (squash, tennis, pickleball, table tennis, badminton).
