I am passionate about helping students because I've experienced firsthand the transformative power of a great teacher. I find it deeply rewarding to support others as they build confidence, develop critical thinking, and grow their curiosity. My goal is to create an encouraging and engaging learning environment where students feel seen, supported, and challenged.

I have taught at the college level and have extensive experience mentoring students and interns in both academic and clinical settings. Whether I'm teaching foundational science or applied concepts, I love breaking down complex material into clear, relatable ideas. My education includes a Master of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a doctoral-level specialization in veterinary pathology. I currently teach in the veterinary technician program at the college level and have taught radiology, diagnostic imaging, and introductory nursing.

I tutor biology, physiology, anatomy, pathology, and medical sciences. My favorite subjects to tutor are anatomy and pathology, because they bring together structure, function, and real-world relevance in fascinating ways. Students often light up when they begin to connect the piecesand I love being part of that moment.

My teaching style is adaptive and student-centered. I listen carefully to each student's goals and frustrations, and I tailor my approach based on how they learn best. I emphasize critical thinking, and I use analogies, questions, and collaborative problem-solving to help students develop lasting understanding. I also believe in creating a positive atmosphere where mistakes are seen as part of the learning process.

Outside of academics, I enjoy working out with weights, snowboarding, stand-up paddleboarding, photography, image creation, and public speaking. I also love exploring the intersection between science, health, and communication and helping others grow along the way.
