Certified Tutor
I graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Cognitive Science and a concentration in Computer Science. My academic background blends neuroscience, psychology, biology, and technical problem-solving, which allows me to approach complex subjects from multiple angles and explain them clearly to students.
I've worked with students in both academic and clinical settings, including volunteer teams in hospital units and peers in science courses. I've also conducted hands-on research in cancer biology, cognitive neuroscience, and biotechnology, which has shaped how I connect classroom material to real-world application.
I tutor biology, psychology, chemistry, neuroscience, and study strategies for science-heavy subjects. My favorite subjects to tutor are biology and psychology because they reveal the "why" behind how we think, move, and function and they connect to students' everyday lives in meaningful ways.
My tutoring style is grounded in clarity, curiosity, and confidence-building. I help students not just memorize information, but truly connect the dots and take ownership of their learning. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy mentoring, public service, and exploring the intersections of science, policy, and community health.
