I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Windsor and am currently pursuing my medical degree at an Ontario medical school. My passion for tutoring comes from a genuine love of helping others feel more confident in their learning. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored university students in courses like biotechnology and biochemistry, where I focused on breaking down challenging material and making it easier to understand through exam prep packages and one-on-one sessions.
I've also been involved with Let's Talk Science, where I visited elementary and high schools to teach science topics like biology, chemistry, and physics. I loved getting students excited about STEM by adjusting my teaching style to match their age and interests, whether through hands-on demos or fun explanations that made the material come to life.
In addition to my academic work, I currently support children with disabilities as a support worker. I care for them through daily activities and outings, always tailoring my approach to meet each child's unique needs. This experience has taught me the value of patience, empathy, and adapting to different learning stylesskills I bring into every tutoring session.
I especially enjoy tutoring biology and chemistry because they've always been my favorite subjects to learn and teach. I find it rewarding to help students build a solid understanding of the basics so they can tackle more advanced topics with confidence. My tutoring style is friendly, supportive, and flexibleI like to meet students where they're at and work together to find what helps them learn best.
Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on walks, and staying active at the gym. These things keep me balanced and energized for the work I love to do.
