I am passionate about teaching students to love reading! I have been a special educator for 10 years, as well as being a tutor and an adult ESOL teacher. I began my education at Southwest Florida College, where I earned my bachelor's in early childhood education. I am working on my master's in special education and will graduate in August 2025. I plan on continuing my education by entering the doctoral program at USF, where I will earn a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in Special Education. While I mostly tutor students in reading, I also have experience teaching all subject areas for elementary students. My favorite subject to tutor is reading, which is the foundation for all other subjects. Without good reading skills, other subjects become challenging to master. My teaching philosophy is that all students can learn, and it is a teacher's role to find which way students learn best. My tutoring style is flexible and methodical. I use a science and data-based curriculum that has the key components for instructing students holistically.
