My name is Haley Plemmons, and I am a passionate educator currently teaching 6th grade math and English Language Arts at South Davey Middle School. With a Master's in Special Education from Winston-Salem State University and over 2 years of tutoring experience, I specialize in elementary school math, focusing on building strong foundational skills. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering meaningful connections with students while employing creative, hands-on methodologies to engage diverse learning styles. I believe that understanding one's unique learning process is crucial for academic success. I am dedicated to helping students discover their love for learning, particularly in math and reading, and I strive to create an environment where they feel empowered to overcome challenges.
